Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Eta Lambda chapter
Since 1920, Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has worked to uplift African-Americans in Atlanta through social, civic and legal action. It was in Atlanta where Brother Sydney P. Brown penned the poetic words “Goodwill is the monarch of this house” in the poem “House of Alpha.” Eta lambda has served as one of the most powerful forces in Atlanta’s growth and development.
The chapter’s participation in our nationally mandated programs such as “Go to High School, Go to College”, “A Voteless People is A Hopeless People”, and “Project Alpha” have helped the masses within the Atlanta community. Alpha brothers of Eta Lambda have been involved in every aspect of business, social, civic and educational development of Atlanta. In addition, the chapter has hosted five National Conventions, had five General Presidents, six National Alumni Brothers of the Year, and won six National Alumni Chapter of the Year awards.
The chapter has a legacy of leadership, service and commitment worth remembering. Eta Lambda continues its legacy by fostering relationships with its three mentee chapters: Alpha Rho (Morehouse), Alpha Phi (Clark Atlanta) and Zeta Mu (Georgia State). With over 95 years of service, the chapter is poised to raise the bar by continuing its tradition of manly deeds, scholarship and love for all mankind.

Pi Gamma Lambda Chapter
Pi Gamma Lambda Chapter was chartered on January 6, 1989 at Fort McPherson Installation. Keeping within the true spirit of the fraternity, Pi Gamma Lambda provides outstanding leadership, scholarship and programs directed for the uplift of our fellow brother and sisters in the community.
On January 15, 2009 as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration kick-off, Pi Gamma Lambda was the first to donate and deed the chapter’s historical papers, pictures, and artifacts to the Auburn Avenue African American Research Library. By providing a voice and a home for all of our Alpha Men in the Armed Forces, Pi Gamma Lambda serves both military and civilian Brothers alike. As a dedicated service organization, we serve our communities through various programs and initiatives aimed at bettering our lives, our families, our livelihood and fulfilling our civic duty. As leaders in our community, we push to give our children every chance to succeed and to give men and women an example to look to. As ALPHA MEN, we hold up the light of Alpha with the highest degree of brotherhood
